Free parking in our Lot that is along the studio building off of Melrose Ally, or, free, unmetered neighborhood street parking around the building on Colorado Blvd and Ave 64. Make sure to read all signs!


Wear unrestrictive clothing that you feel comfortable moving in and allows your instructor to see the positions of your body. Many exercises are lying down or inverted, so be sure to wear the appropriate layers. Water is always a good idea. We workout in either bare feet or socks. Socks are optional, but grippy style is recommended if you do want to wear socks.

First Appointment Tips

 Your first appointment is for your instructor to get to know you and your movement patterns. As such, there will be a lot of dialogue between you and your instructor about how you are moving, what muscles you are trying to activate, awareness around your shoulder, rib, and pelvic positions, etc. Please be patient - it will be worth it to deepen your mind-body connection!

I have been a student of Pilates for five years and always leave a session feeling better physically and mentally than when I started. My instructor will ask if I have any particular problem when I arrive, and will tailor the workout to deal with it. Some of my friends are starting to experience the aches and pains of aging, but I fortunately haven’t yet. I attribute most of that to the focus on strengthening my core and working on balance that Pilates stresses. Pilates teachers have “eagle eyes” and can easily spot the small correction in a specific exercise that will make it more effective. The studio is bright and cheerful.
